Make an Appointment
A GP referral letter is required to ensure all pertinent data is available. This will usually include past history, medications and a summary of the current problem. The letter will usually indicate whether the family doctor wishes to arrange a consultation, or a direct access endoscopy.
All medications and available prescriptions should be brought for your first appointment along with all medical insurance details. Because of parking restrictions (especially at Blackrock clinic), you may wish to come by taxi or be driven to your appointment.
Direct access endoscopy can also be arranged with a GP letter. Patients with complicated histories such as diabetes and renal failure or on medications such as warfarin or plavix ideally should be seen in consultation by Dr Hollingsworth before their procedures.
